Managed recoil bullets in 125 grain at first in a Remington Youth rifle for shorter LOP. Have to say I was unsure at first, but with the Managed recoil loads she was very comfortable with the rifle from day one. If anything, having him comfortable shooting the weapon is the most important thing to consider with your decision. Bring your kid to some dealers and let him handle some weapons, with his shooting background he has he will most likely come up with one that feels right. If I hadn't done this with my daughter I would have probably bought something different, which might have not worked out as well.
