Residents VS NON Residents VS Anchorageites
Posted by Barron on Mar 02 2006
There are some discussions developing below regarding input from local goverment advisory boards, their input, how it affects the rest of us hunting "their Area"" and the rest of Alaska as well as outside users such as guests to our great state. When I say Guests I mean Americans, Germans, French and yes even a canadian or two if must be. Besides, Canada's Hockey team was as bad as ours this year!
My concern is that input at the local level shutting down hunting areas for the rest of us, what ever us means! We now have to fly to one city and register first before hunting a different area ect.hese laws are made to make it more difficult un all of us except the Local, Locals.

When one group, any group, of any kind, has the final say on an agenda that concerns them individually, the will be bias towards the individual not the whole. Its human nature, mine and yours, to do so. Its very important to keep All Alaskan resources open to Alaskans. Its in my best interest to keep "my" backyard open so only I can hunt it. Still does not make it right. I think locals should have input, but again it will always be bias.
