I think that alot of urbanites speculate that all who live in the bush are hunting by subsistance. I live in a village of about 50 people strung out over our only road of about 3 miles and 500 roadless miles from Anchorage. All but a couple of guys here buy regular hunting  license over the internet and get our tags in the mail. Then send in the harvest report , just like our city residents.
What is different than the city environs is we have no grocery store,
no clothes store, no bowling allys , no bars ,etc. I qualify for subsistance, but choose to hunt just like you. I even travel to hunt sheep or blackies in competition with city folk.
