subsistence defined
Posted by waterrat on Mar 02 2006
Subsistence hunting is mistaken for unbridled killing and nothing could be farther from the truth. It's simply a little longer and more travel freindly season for people who live off the grid or road system. There's some area's that the air taxi's and outfitters have hammered to the extent that special regs are in order to have a few critters to harvest for the locals but generally the hunting is user freindly to residents as well. If a person who lives in town thinks that the moose in my backyard is as much his as mine then the disagreemant starts.
