since she is a righthand and wants a small kick but your a lefty and want a versitale rifle have you considered an over/under rifle? they're extremely accurate and you can get interchangeable barrels for when you take it out. the only draw back is they're expensive, but isn't she worth it? another suggestion is remington's reduced recoil ammunition could make the 3006 manageable for her.
