[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] Barne X or Not Posted by RedLabel on Mar 03 2006 The Barnes X bullet is fantastic. Its expansion & weight retention equal max penetration even on the thickest skin critters. The only problem I ever had on the X was finding the best overall length in reloading for max accuracy. Once I found it...a little shorter than I was used to loading, the accuracy was spot on 1/2 minute angle at 100yrd. The 225gr & 175gr shot almost identical trajectory out of my Browning A Bolt .338. I never had a problem with expansion, but then again I don't shoot 522 yrds & 802 yrd...give me a break. Talk about ethical hunters MMMMMMMMMM! If you like the X bullet, you'll love the tripple shock & TSX bullet even better. Previous: Barnes X bullets and expansion Olaf Feb 01 2006 Next: x bullets .338 mag. Feb 03 2006 Message Thread:
