[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] paper Posted by BRWNBR on Mar 04 2006 Everyone has their own experiences with guns in the field and on the paper, my first bear and 8' grizz went down to the tune of a .270 with 140 noslers. worked just fine, the best...no. but what defines the best if the bear is already dead?! my .416 woulda killed it too. dead is dead. most people breath on heavier guns because of the penetration from ALL angles, every shot is different regardless of how much of a "tack driver" your gun is. sometimes things go screwy and you have to clean it up and that might dictate tossing as much lead as fast as you can. when you do need to do that, the more the merrier..hence the bigger 30's and 40's.
