This is one thing that frustrates me about this forum. Not sure the reason but we tend to "go big" when someone asks for advice on caliber of gun for Alaska. We forget most peoples max. totalable recoil is that of a 30/06. Confidence, practice and bullet placement should be #1 priority.

I think we fuel the problem of 1st time Alaska hunter showing up in the field with the new shinny Mag.......

Not trying to be a jerk but just a pet peeve of mine.
