Barron, I guess the door swings two ways in my mind.  If you think, those of us living in rural AK should move rather than use most of our pay checks to pay for stove oil, gas to go get wood, bread and milk at the village store, rent or mortgage, and then spend frivolously for meat that isn't that great of quality rather than use the resources that are available, but not always easy to find we should uproot our families and jobs and leave.  

You have a point, but is it easier for those happy here in rural AK to pack up and move or for you to take your own advice?  If you can't make it doing what you want where you are, why stay?
