choice
Posted by FBKShunter on Mar 06 2006
You said it, it's your choice to live there.  So if you can't afford to live there by the sames rules as all other alaskans move. You have just as much right to live in a city as you do in the bush.  My friends who live in rural communites don't use subsistence because they think it is wrong.
Maybe when you come visit anchorage or fairbanks we won't let use the road system (locals only).  Or make you wait at the airport to get a ticket till all the locals get on the plane.  Or you can only go grocery shopping after all the locals are done.  We can make all sorts of local preferences can't we.
The urban and rural divide is only present because certain people think they should have more rights than others.  When we are all equal there will be no divide will there.  I don't want more rights than you, just the same rights.
