I dunno....

Sheep Man,

Now that the whole thread has been hijacked.....  8:::-0

That's a hard question to answer.  I think the search for information on Alaska hunting is part of the enjoyment I get out of hunting here.  But I also realize that I'm a research junkie, and not everybody else is.  Personally, I like the idea of folks being able to come to a place like this and ask questions, get good information, and be that much closer to having a safe, legal, enjoyable hunt.

The way you and I did it "in the old days" certainly works, but both of us have been the beneficiaries of newer methods and better tools to get the information that used to take months to obtain.  Is that wrong?  I don't really think it is.  I think perhaps this question is rooted in a larger issue involving the numbers of hunters coming to Alaska.  THAT is certainly a topic worthy of discussion.  But I don't think we're really going to control that by restricting the flow of information.  We will ultimately have to do it through greater regulatory restrictions.

It's inevitable that information will become easier and easier to obtain as we move into the future...

That's my take anyway.

-Mike
