Step up to the plate and get "her" a rifle all "her" own.  Let her have a little ownership in the deal.  I'd get her a light to medium weight .308 stainless, since you live in AK, bolt action rifle; put a 2.5x8 or 2x7 scope on it, and cut the stock to fit with a 1-inch premium recoil pad.  Sight it in for her.  Then buy a case of recent manufactured surplus ammo and the both of you go do some informal practice - rocks, water filled plastic jugs, over-ripe fruit, clay targets, etc.  Take a picnic basket and make a day of it.  A new rifle + a day shooting guns together + a blanket + sunshine + a good meal (finger foods, cheese, fruit, chocolate) + a good bottle of wine = payoff at night.  How can you loose?
