I am aware of all the theories and design parameters, I just wanted to know of good or bad experiences with the bullet. The people who design and manufacture these bullets choose them for their brown bear hunt, so that must tell us something. If we are into the realm of theories and conjecture, I am of the opinion that some of today's bullets are too tough for most applications. I have shot moose with the 300 grain Partition and it penetrated so deep and so effectively that the moose didn't flinch. It transfered very little energy to the animal because it didn't expand much at all. Might as well be useing full metal jackets (yes I know they are not legal for use on game). The Nosler technicians claim 60 to 80 percent weight retention with the Accubond, same as the Partition. The Accubond does expand to a greater frontal diamter. I am thinking they will do a better job at anchoring a big bruin, but since I have no experience shooting a brown bear, I was curious if anybody used them on one.
