tents
Posted by AKMarmot on Mar 11 2006
Steve,
Not to go against what Frank has said but I have the Hilleberg Nammatj 2 GT.  The weight is a bit more but then it depends what you are intending to use it for. If there are 2 people you just split the weight up by having a person carry the poles & the other the tent.  When you are weathered in you will appreciate the extra room & larger vestibule to store gear in & occasionaly cook in.  Both modeles you mentioned will provide you with what you are looking for so it comes down to the majority of intended usage, & personal preference. Mine is used year round always with 2 people & usually a short haired dog. In addition to hunting in the winter I have used it on a couple climbs & played cards in w/4people when stuck for the day.
Just something to think about.
