EV2 pondering...
Posted by fullkurl on Mar 12 2006
The Hilleberg Nammatj is a great structure--excellent really. But @ 7.5 lbs thats almost twice the weight of the MH2 tent.  Thats alot (too much!) for a sheeper or goat hunter.
The Bibler I-tent and Eldo is only 5lbs, the Ev2 FOUR!
The EV2 is large.  Two people easily coexist with plenty of room, three in a pinch.  We set ours up and daughter joined wife and I in it to see if it would work, shes 13. That was a bit tight.
The EV2 does have integrated vestibule with floor.  That could be a moisture problem but MH gave this thing at least five large strut equipped valanced vents.  You can get air where its blowing from without moving your tent.
It has two uvx style windows. And it never needs seam sealing.
I'm not trying to be too brand loyal, but I researched tents for five years and although I've found Bibler to be fantastic, this EV 2 is the holy grail of mountain abodes.
