Howdy Folks!

I have decided to buy a new rifle and couldn't decied on a 338rum or a 338 lapua mag. I know they have similar bullet ballistics, but i have heard great things about the lapua and how it can reach out to 1500 meters. I haven't heard much about the 338rum though. Does anyone know what the difference is between the two when it comes to accuracy and killing power???
I was either looking at the Remington 700 series 338 rum or the armalite ar-30 338 lapua mag. Are there any people out the who knows or has shot either of these guns and can tell me about them?

Also i was looking for a 300 grain .338 hunting bullet, does anyone know if there are any companies that make a 300 grain hunting bullet in the .338 caliber???
