[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] 338's Posted by BRWNBR on Mar 12 2006 my expericne with the .338's is this, the rum is to fast for the bullets, poor penetration at close ranges cause the bullets open up to fast. and you dont' need speed to shoot a long way, ie...308 and 30-06 are know far better as long range military guns than any 7mm or RUm or ultra anthing. you dont' see lazzorino with any militay contracts do ya? nope, cause the 308 and aught six work better. bullets traveling to fast are not as stable as heavier slower bullets.
