Using a .375 Weatherby with 260 Accubonds at 2950 fps.  At 3.3" high at 100, it gives a point blank range with a 4" radius vital zone of 328 yards.  The bullet shoud be 4" high, it's high point, at 155 yards and zeroed at 279 yards.  I realize this is all how the bullet "should" travel, and actual field performance varies.  I guess that if the bear is 155 yards away, hitting 4" above point of aim will still put me well in the vital zone.  Hell, maybe I'll be shaking so bad 4" will be the least of my worries:-)
