I have been assured by Nosler that the Accubond is a bruin bullet, as one of their employees uses it on brown bear. It retains 60-70 percent of its weight, same as the Partition. I have shot moose with the Partition and it went through them like a hot knife through butter, leaving a lot of energy to be expended in the lake behind it. I am of the opinion that some bullets are too tough and don't expand enough. The Accubond expands to a larger diamter while still retaining plenty of weight for penetration. I'm not sure what you mean by the error in the trajectory. I am figuring a vital zone of 8" diameter, 4" radius, which is actually smaller than a brown bears' vital zone. Are you suggesting not worrying about the Max PBR and just settling with a PBR at around 260 yards? I think you may be on to something there. I was going to use the 300 grain Partitions but decided to go on the hunt just recently. Not much time for quality load development when wind chill is below zero!! I have confidence in the accuracy of the load I will be using, as well as the penetration. And yes, I do love the .375 Weatherby.
