MPBR is a joke
Posted by RobR on Mar 15 2006
MPBR is not something you should consider for sighting in a rifle.  It concept is flawed.  So you think if you have a 4" down radius from your point of site, the bullet will hit in that vital zone?  Is your rifle so accurate that it hits exactly the same place shot after shot?  Itis rare for a .375 of any model to do better than 1.5 MOA in accuracy.  At 230 yards this means you are shooting groups of over 3 inches, so 4" radius then translates to an 11 inch kill zone taking into account the inherent inaccuracy of a rifle.  Then considering that under field conditions you are more like to shoot  about 3 MOA at best, the kill zone at 230 yards becomes 15 inches.

It is far better to site the gun in for a sepcific distance, learn its trajectory and adjust for distance.  Forget about MPBR, it serves no useful purpose.
