Posted by Paul H on Mar 17 2006 If your friend was shooting a 270 gr @ 2700 fps and zeroed at 250 yds, he would simply have to aim in the boiler room to drop any deer out to 300 yds. Seems like he was either using the wrong load or hadn't bothered to practice on out to 300 yds. To say a 375 H&H isn't adequate for deer out to 300 yds is placing the blame in the wrong spot.
