Me too!
Posted by Michael Strahan on Mar 17 2006
Mark,

I'm the same way, but didn't want to look like an idiot by being the lone holdout for repeating the mantra of complete energy expenditure within the body cavity.  So I guess with at least two of us, we're not idiots; we're a minority.  Or maybe a minority of idiots... I dunno... it gets soooo complicated...

I don't take head shots though.  And I don't prefer shoulder shots for the same reasons you mentioned.  Hmmmm.... so just where does Mikey aim, anyway?  Not gonna tell, because it's not a shot I recommend to others.  I know what I can do with my rifle, but I don't know what someone else can do with theirs.  And no, it's not that shot made famous in Texas...

Having said that, I heard once that the spine on a moose or caribou is pretty wide and might make a good target... if a guy is close, uses a solid rest and can put it where it needs to go... and the animal is broadside and not moving... hmmmm.....

Gotta pick your shot, and be willing to let one walk away now and then.

-Mike
