Well, it's been a while...

Hi Patrick,
Don't recall exact recipe. Couple cups of flour, pinch of salt, teaspoon of baking powder. Add enough water so dough is sticky and can be handled. We used to make patties out of the dough, like hamburger patties. Place those in well oiled hot skillet. Fry on one side. Flip. Fry other side. May have to turn again so the dough is cooked all the way through. You can stick a toothpick or such in to see if they are done; it should come out clean. They are fairly flat though they do rise a bit. Ended up looking like the shape/size of a very thick burger. If you are making the cinnamon-raisin bannock, add sugar to the dough mix to sweeten it. Eat them hot out of pan with butter if you have it, good start to the morning with coffee or tea. Very filling, especially the "lead-belly" variety we used to make before we knew what we were doing, the kind that isn't all the way cooked and sticks to your gut in a bad way <grin>.
Good luck, and allbest,
Mark
