Wrangle Mountain Air (WMA)
Posted by akhunter02 on Mar 24 2006
Anyone using them should know that if they are transporting you for a hunt, the price quoted is only for you and your gear in and out (no matter how light you go in).  If you harvest anything, its automaticaly a back haul.  We used them last year for a sheep/goat hunt.  In past sheep hunts, with other air taxi's, the price quoted included getting my ram out.  This was not the case with WMA.  There were 3 of us, we eneded up with one goat, one black bear and one Grizz.   When Kelly came to pick us up we figured that the goat would go with one, the Blk Bear with one and the Grizz with the 3rd.   Not the case, Kelly informed us that there would be another trip to back haul the capes.  That the price quoted was for each hunter plus 55lbs of gear, and that WE SHOULD HAVE KNOW THAT ANYTHING OVER 55LBS COMING OUT WOULD RESULT IN A BACK HAUL.  This should have been pointed out at the time of booking.  They told us that its the same deal with the back packers they take in.  I said "'back packers are never going to come out heavier than when they go in, so why would you need to tell them anything, but hunters plan on coming out heavy" Needless to say we paid and lesson learned.

other than that no problems with them
