Bad hunters
Posted by Great Dane on Mar 27 2006
when I was in college, my mother occasionally used to watch the desk in the evenings at the motel that was owned by a friend and located accross the street.  It was small town in Iowa, and the hotel was ALWAYS booked solid with regular salesman travelers; and ALWAYS booked on weekends during pheasant season as this was located in the top pheasant hunting area in the USA at the time.

One of my good friends in college's Dad was just laid off from his iron workers job, and was having a hard time.  My friend asked if I could find a place for his dad and some of his iron worker buddies to hunt pheasants (the college was in Minnesota)  I called the guy that owned the motel across from my parents and he said that he was TOTALLY booked for the entire pheasant season with regulars.  But since he loved my mom, he kicked out a party and let my friends dad and buddies have a room for 3 days.

I got a call a few weeks later from the owner, and he was hot.  I guess my friends dad and the guys told the owner that they did not need to clean their room while they were there because all they were doing was sleeping and they wanted to help the owner out.  When they checke out after 3 days, Dick found that they had cleaned about 50 pheasants in the bathtub and left the tub full of guts and feathers X 50.  I have never been called so many names, and Dick did not talk to me for 5 years.
