I know I am probably asking an unaswerable question, but I will go ahead and do it anyway.  I am looking for thoughts, ideas, guesses, personal occurances, or anything to get some sort of an idea of how fast a bear charge/attack happens.  Spring is coming and I want to practice more for bear charges, but would alos like to set up some realistic obtainable goals.

I know a lot of it depends on situations and what not, but I am looking for a time frame of how much time I would have to draw and shoot.  If it is answerable the time portion should remain the same, but I would also be interested in how many rounds would be adequate from a big bore rifle, big bore handgun, and shotgun.

Also if anybody has any techniques shooting drills that they find benefcial or personal standards those would also be helpful.
