Bears are bears. That is what is so scary. They act on a whim and no two act the same. Bears in my mind are not predictable. Your best shooting on a bear charge to me is pepper spray in the face. Never have done it but what I have seen on videos it is pretty effective. I think you would be more prone to connect with it than a bullet if really under the gun so to speak.
