The worst bear charge...

...is the one we all play out in our minds over and over again.  Especially when it's dark and we're trudging back to camp over rough ground with a hundred pounds of game meat in the pack.  Reality is often far different.  

The second worst bear charge is the one you read about in Alaska Bear Tales when you're in the plane flying to Alaska.

The bears in our minds are bigger, meaner, and attack more frequently by far than the ones we see in the field.

Shoot a weapon you can use well, but don't let it worry your mind too much.
