[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] bear charge/worries Posted by northway on Mar 28 2006 I hate to tell you this, but if you are out there practicing your shooting etc., for a bear charge, then you may want to re-think heading into the woods. They happen so seldom, that I don't think it is something you should worry about. I have been around many bears, had a sow with 3 cubs at a bait stand less than 6 feet away and nothing. Not saying it couldn't happen, but you surely shouldn't be worrying about it. Maybe a thought in the back of your head. I think Mike's situation of having a load of meat and stumbling back into camp at dark my get the thoughts rolling a bit more than any other time.
