Get a good coat on before you head out, then apply everyday that you are out. Its imperative that you get a good base layer on before beginning your hunt. Also get a good floatable gun case, like the kind duck hunters use. This should keep most of the salt out, however after about one or two seasons worth of use the salt gets in there and stays in there, so I would discard. Dont store your gun in case at night either. I have used the above per-cautions, and taken blued guns out hunting in PWS and not had any problems.
