[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] .44 mag Posted by rainydayhunter on Oct 17 2003 Depending on what I'm hunting, where I'm hunting, and what I'm using as my primary hunting firearm, determines what I'm going to take as my sidearm. In areas where potential danger comes from bears or cougar, or when I'm using a "light rifle" such as my 7x57 or .308, I usually pack my .44 mag. In areas where such danger is nonexistent but the potential of unpleasantness comes in 2-legged variety, I pack a .357 mag or .45 acp.
