After closer examination of the neck, I found very small chunks of lead. The jacket had seperated from the lead in the meat and the lead continued through the bone. The bullet simply disintegrated. I believe it should have held together better as the neck is maybe 6" wide and I only got the top of the spine. I was using a 30-06 180 gr Rem. Pointed Soft point.
