[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] 25 wssm vs. 7mm-08 Posted by T.C.B. on Dec 21 2004 I recently put a Browning 25 wssm Medallion on layaway for my wife and am having some reservations about the load. We primarily deer in Wisconsin but also hunt some antelope, sheep, and goats out west. Recoil is of great concern - she is about 5'-6" and weighs 130#. I've read Chuck Hawks' articles concerning the 25 wssm's and get the impression that he thinks they are basically just a lot of hype. After reading the recent replies to B_M's question regarding the 7mm-08 and the possibility that it could be used on game as large as elk has really grabbed my attention. I am also concerned that the 25 may never take off and ammo availability my pose a problem in the future.
