I have thought of using a paint ball gun for 2 reasons, 1. to see if it will "sting" enuf to chase him off and 2. To see if the bear is the same one or not. At least the neighbors will be able to tell if it is a neighborhood nuisance bear. Now I suppose fish and game will have some regulation against polluting a bear hide.  Am real close to loading my own plastic bullets.
