George, I just had to see for myself so I went to a local gun shop and they had a Winchester in 270 WSM. It is CRPF and is exactly like you explained. The gun probably hasn't had a box of shells through it. The price tag was a mere $350..I offered $325 and took it home. Think I'll turn it into a 375 WSM.
