Alaska Outfitters

In Alaska, the word "outfitters" has a variety of meanings. Until recently, Alaska law called individuals that can legally guide hunters "guide/outfitters." Today, they are simply "guides" and an outfitter isn’t necessarily a person who can legally guide hunters. Some businesses are providing "outfits" for fishing or hunting, but not individual guiding. Still others are outfitters within the scope of federal regulations, and may not even necessarily be working for anglers or hunters at all.  My suggestion is to look through the business description below and call for clarification if necessary. These are in order by region of the state and then alphabetically.
