Field Care of Big Game
by Alaska Dept. of Fish and Game Hunter Information &
Training Program |
When I worked in the
Wildlife Division one of the information products we began to see was
needed by hunters was a good video on game care. The division had
over the years produced a few fliers, handouts and other materials, but
there is nothing as effective as a well produced video for showing
techniques.
Hunter Information &
Training Coordinators Tony Monzingo and John Matthews have done an
excellent job of producing this new video. In it they show a
step-by-step method for taking apart a moose and turning it into
manageable pieces that can be transported to where it will be processed.
If you have any question
about how to handle one of these big guys....or even smaller game, like
deer or caribou, this video will help you learn a good technique for
handling them.
