I am in the process of buying a boat and have a few questions about used boat purchasing.  I am buying from a dealer that is selling on consignment, and the purchase price is slightly on the high end of a fair deal.  That being said, I want them to include in the contract that when I pick up the boat it will be in running condition (batteries charged, engines checked).  I also want in the contract that the engines will give me one good day of boating service, and after that I will be satisfied to take the risk upon myself.  Is this unreasonable?

Next: 3 day right of return sounds reasonable leahy Mar 05 2006
