[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] lots of good info Posted by Alaskacanoe on Apr 05 2006 this site has some great stuff. look over all those rivers go to the Activities tab on the left side of your screen and then to Boating and then hit the waterways tab. These are from the many years ago, and although property ownerships change, most of the rivers remain the same, other than a new channel here or there. Karen Jetmar's book on Alaska rivers is excellent. The road put in and take out trips can sometimes be a bit more busy than the fly in places, but if your main goal is getting out on a river with good company and great scenery, with a desire to be with pop for anouther great time, you can find a couple of great experiences near your dads area or Fairbanks. I do most all my trips either here on the Kenai or Kasilof , and all my hunting trips I do over in the Bristol bay regions, from Good News to the Cinders on the Alaska peninsula. I think some of the other posters have more experience in places near Fairbanks than me.
