Harbercraft / Jetcraft Kingfisher
Posted by John S on Apr 06 2006
I'm interested in anyones thoughts on the Kingfisher, anyone that has some experience with them.  I am interested in the 25' model.  Some of my concerns are:

Reports of at least a couple of buckled hulls on Kingfishers in AK and corrosion problems

I currently own a 18' Harbercraft that has been OK overall, except for some corrosion issues.  Harbercraft had a great, open, honest forum on their website.  I guess it was too honest, because they've removed it.

Here's why I want a Kingfisher.  It's the ONLY production aluminum outboard boat that I've found with a big fish hold, marine head in it's own compartment, V-berth to sleep two, table that collapses to sleep two more, sink, and stove.  Very important is the fact that the dining seat back folds back so a passenger is sitting forward underway.  (My wife doesn't want to sit sideways and I want her on log watch.)

I haven't found ANY other production aluminum boat with all these features.  If you have, let me know, I'm interested, but I walked EVERY boat at the Seattle Boat Show.
