I too was shopping around for an offshore boat in the 26-28 range. I looked at a lot of boats ranging from GlacierCraft, Hatco, Seawolf, Almar, and Eagle Craft (in Canada). We finally decided on an Aerohead 30' x 10'6".
Their website is https://www.aeroheadboats.com/
I went on a test drive last weekend in Seattle on a 25' w/ twin Mercury Verado 200's. With six of us in the boat what really sold me on design was how the boat got on plane. The majority of boats I've been on tend to accelerate with the stern digging in and the bow rising high. The Aeorohead rose at a rather constant level and reached plane roughly at 1/2 throttle (23 kts). I attribute this to the engineering behind the hull.
I would describe these boats as having the weld and construction quality of an Almar backed by nautical engineering. Also, Travis, the owner, doesn't come across as a salesman but just a regular guy who's trying to start a business. He was willing to work with us on price and features. The company is new and has yet to develop a track record like Almar but they seem to be starting out of the blocks on the right foot. Our 30' will be the third one built and their 10th overall.
