Sea Kayaking Training / Practice this Saturday!
Posted by Michael Strahan on Apr 13 2006
Hi folks,

Just received a note from Doug VanEtten of Knik Canoers and Kayakers about a great opportunity to learn sea kayaking in a controlled environment this coming Saturday.  Here's a copy in case you're interested.  Call Doug (his number is at the end of the post) or email Jim Gonski (his email is here too) to get in on this!

H2Oasis Wave Pool this Saturday for Sea Kayakers --- boats will be available  -- 8-10 AM

It was announced at the Safety Meeting Tuesday now a time is set for

SEA KAYAKS in the wave pool this SATURDAY - 8 - 10 AM

Cost is $30 each - it may go down if we have enough people.

I know it is early for Saturday but if you were going to PWS or Res Bay you would already have been on the road long before 8 AM. And cost - just think of the gas money you are not spending to drive to a long-distance put-in.

Please contact the pool guru guy Jim Gonski  - [email protected] -  or me [email protected] to let us know you will be there.

Jim says that if we do not have minimum of 3 people it will not happen at all.

This is a great opportunity - Jim will be supplying the boats - you cannot beat that! You need not be a Knik Canoers & Kayakers member. Open to all.

Let Jim or me know if you will be joining us --- then when you say Yes, we need you to be there.

"Sea" you Saturday morning,

Doug Van Etten
