1 or 2 piece oars
Posted by yhc on Apr 17 2006
Good morning,

I am looking at getting Carlisle aluminum oars to go with an 18' cataraft.  Would you recommend 1 or 2 piece oars?  I assume it would be easier to transport 2 piece oars in a bush plane, etc, but do 2 piece oars compromise strength, etc?

Also for an 18' cataraft, would it make any difference to get a 9' vs 10' oars?

Thanks in advance for your time.

Regards,

yhc

Next: Thank you yhc Apr 19 2006
