Take it from a guy who rents inflatable equipment that the 2 piece is the only way to go. The average oar set up is 8-10 feet long and it will not store or transport worth a damn! All of my business is done in bush planes and my break down set ups are 4 feet long and are still tough to get into a Maul!

The only reason to have a full length oar is if you are running big white water all of the time. The breakdown oars are very strong and will be a better deal for you.

Good luck and check us out for all of your rental needs in Northwest Alaska and the Brooks Range!
