Class I Floats
Posted by B_M on Apr 19 2006
Jeremy - I think it's legal to float that creek, as I've seen others do it, but don't take my word for it.

If you're looking for a good class I float, check out Eagle River.  If you put in at Mile 7.2 Eagle River Road and take out at the Eagle River Campground (right next to Hiland Road), it's a nice 3-4 hour float, class I water, and amazing views.  I'd wait until water levels rise a bit, as we had trouble with sweepers and exposed logs/rocks at this time last year, but overall it's a very easy float with great rewards.  It feels remote at times, even though you're right near a road the whole way.  That would be my suggestion.
